Photo Shoot at the Zoo

Photo Shoot at the Zoo

Can we do a photo shoot at the zoo? Is that a good place?

Absolutely.

Less than two weeks ago, on a trip down to see family and friends, I headed to one of my favorite Tucson locations, the Reid Park Zoo. I can’t even begin to guess how may times I’ve wandered around that sweet little zoo. It was the site of my husband and my first date. It was the spot I frequented several times a week when me and two little babies needed to get out of the house. And it is still the place all my kids beg to visit when we head back to Tucson for a weekend. We love it, and I feel like I know it backward and forward.

So when I was asked if we could do a candid-style photo shoot there on an early November morning I jumped at the chance. Watching this sweet family play and discover brought back so many memories of my own life. I loved watched her kids be thrilled by the African Safari section, and I laughed when the sounds of the elephants display made the kids jump. Measuring their height next to the black bear was just the cutest thing, and we all stood back and watch the as the enamored kids and bear had a stare-down contest. And mom wanted to make sure we rounded out their fun morning with park time. They all loved it. And I loved documenting it all.

Thanks so much, sweet family, for asking me to capture your morning out together. I hope you love these pictures.
